2019 Registration: From the President

Dear Red Hawks Parents:

Registration for the 2019 season opens this week. You will receive an email very shortly from our Boys Director (JT) or Girls Director (Keith) with the link to register.

This email is to stress that prompt registration is essential. Here’s why:
We are *strictly* limiting numbers this year: late registrants will go onto the Scout Team, a reserve squad
2018 Season fees start at $550 (it was $650 last year); the registration fee increases $100 on the 15th of every month through January. Lower prices for 8U and 10U.
We’re starting A-Level evals in October; dates to follow.
There’s no sibling discount this year: we’re discounting early registration instead.
We are offering early registrants free clinics by local elite lacrosse organizations: one per month in October, November, and December.
We are aggressively front-loading registration this year to help us better plan fields, coaches, and resources for the season. This helps us do a better job structuring the season, but means that late registrants will be disappointed: please share this email and the registration links from our Directors with your Red Hawks friends and new families who wish to join, and sign up as soon as possible.

Fall is especially important for A-Team-level play: if your Red Hawk wants to play A-level, we expect to see them playing with the Red Hawks, or other elite clubs, this fall.

Lastly, I want to remind all families and friends that we offer Red Hawks Player Grants: these are bursaries intended to alleviate the financial burden of playing lacrosse and ensure that boys and girls in our area who want to play lacrosse, can play for the Red Hawks. I’ve donated exclusively to this Red Hawks program for the previous two years, as have many other families. Please apply in confidence at: http://www.redhawkslacrosse.org/registration/player-grants/ On this subject, I’d like to remind all parents that the club warmly welcomes used equipment donations: please give us your gear as your child ages up or ages out, and we’ll ensure that another Red Hawk makes the best possible use of it.

Details and registration link from our Boys and Girls Directors will follow shortly.

I’m very excited to get back into the game, and see how our boys and girls will improve this year.

-Tyler
