For those interested in truly advancing their lacrosse game in a competitive atmosphere, we have a great opportunity for you! The Chauncey Boys (named in memory of former Red Hawk and son of our founder, A.J. O’Brien) will be having a U14 travel team in the Fall. The Chauncey Boys (“COB”) program was formed four years ago after the unexpected passing of Chauncey. Formed principally from Red Hawks and former Red Hawks players and coached predominantly by Red Hawks coaches, we are proud to share that our COB teams have fast established a reputation for being tough, talented and successful having competed in and won many tournament championships all over the state.

We are looking to build our Fall 2018 team leading into the Red Hawks 2019 season then grow that team for the 2019 summer season. The Fall season runs from October through January.

Anthony Maminski, former Red Hawk and high school state club champion and avid box player, coach and referee, as well as Red Hawks U14 coach, will be heading up the team.

Some benefits of COB over other Bay Area travel teams? We have consistent and some of the best coaches – not guys with resumes who rotate through often and rarely show up. Other travel clubs are frequently trying to recruit away our coaches. We have regular practices – none of this once a month stuff. We are local. No driving to far off fields often during rush hour. We are cool…yes…swag definitely counts to these kids. We do it cooler and have more fun than the rest. We are more competitively priced than the others. Results…we have a history of developing and producing very high-level lacrosse players who have gone on to be successful in high school and college many of whom return to us to coach or even just to hang out with us (did I mention we’re cool?). Our destinations are places like Vegas, Seattle, Palm Springs, Santa Barbara, San Diego…all great places to travel for the whole family.

While dominated by Red Hawks players, COB searches out and accepts good players from clubs throughout the south bay and coastal areas and clubs. If you have a buddy or know someone who might be interested from the Vipers, Santa Cruz Warriors, Tribe or Morgan Hill, send them our way. We always have kids from those areas on board!
