Question 1:  Player B1 is playing A1. A1, running at full speed, cuts around his teammate, A2 who has set a legal screen. B1, while playing A1, collides violently with A2. Is this a foul ?

Answer 1:  No, as long as B1 was playing A1 and did not deliberately try to collide with A2.

Question 2:   Player B1 is playing A1. A1 successfully dodges B1 and drives to the goal and takes a shot. B2 slides and body checks after the shot. Is there a penalty?

Answer 2:  No, as long as B2’s check was according to the rule of proper body checks.

LAX FAX from March 31, 2007 newsletter:

     When is a goal scored:

     A. When the ball touches the goal line.
     B. When any part fo the ball crosses the goal line.
     C. When the ball hits the net in the back of the goal.
     D. When the ball entirely crosses the plane of the back of the goal line, goal posts and cross bar.

     Answer:  D.
